Sometimes blogging is kinda like the old "if a tree falls in the forrest...", and it's nice to know someone is reading. Please be assured that I'm not suggesting we shouldn't contend for the faith. In fact, what I was trying to say is that our faith is validated (in spite of my occasional doubts and questions) by the appearance in history of Jesus. I don't pretend to understand on an intellectual level why there must be a blood sacrifice. I'm definitely not a theologian. And as I mentioned before the thought of eternity is terrifying to me on many levels, perhaps because it is just too huge a concept for my puny mind. That's the area God will have to sort out for me. But this I can stand on: Jesus appeared at a real time and place in history and made claims that are totally outrageous at <em>any</em> time & place.
