Over twenty Years of Savings... In 1984 four couples formed Scroll Ministries, Inc, with a vision to help grow the kingdom of God by selling Christian materials at a reduced price. From that vision came The Scroll Christian Bookstore, offering books, Bibles, music, gifts and homeschool materials to the general public at substantial discounts. Though the founders are no longer associated with the business, The Scroll has grown dramatically over the years from the original 1,000 square foot sales floor to its current 10,000 square foot building in the Loop East Shopping center in Tyler, TX.

After 21 years of serving East Texas, we estimate that over $5,500,000.00 have been saved by our customers! In addition to everyday savings on hot-off-the-press projects, we also offer a Christian "outlet" area in our "Garage Sale", where we feature deep discounts on lots of great books, Bibles, music and gifts. We are blessed to be able to offer Christian materials at a discount, but it is even more of a blessing to be able to support area ministries through the proceeds of our business. Even though we are a non-profit store, we actually do make a profit each year... intentionally. We distribute that money each year to area ministries chosen by our board of directors.

Our primary emphasis for giving has been in the area of crisis pregnancy, through the ministry of Living Alternatives, in Lindale, TX. In addition to helping Living Alternative with their building projects we've been able to donate bibles to all the ladies coming through their ministry. It is a special joy to be able to place the comfort of God's word in the hands of these women when they need it most.

KVNE benefits from our ministry, in the form of current music, and our yearly KVNE Day! promotion, when we donate 10% of the day's sales to KVNE. Over the years we've been able to support a number of other important local ministries as well, including Pine Cove Christian Camps, Azelway Boy's Ranch, and The Castle, Boy's and Girl's club to name a few.
